A small person has entered my life. I keep forgetting he's there then I look down and notice his smugly sleeping moosh. He is one of very few things that can stop me wanting to draw or sew, He is certainly our best creation yet, we made him all ourselves! (there will be no tutorial,) The weird and wonderful thing that is a baby has taken over quite a lot of our time but has also kick started my slow burning doodle streak back into gear (maternity leave has helped here also). 'I will become Cath kidston' is my mantra.
Since being on maternity leave I have had a mental list of things that I want to achieve before 'little rog' gets bigger and I have to (depressingly) go back to work. These things involved doing the stairs, starting a retro furniture buisness (more on these later) and finally getting my cards sold in a shop. This final project has begun today. Drawn mostly in a tent during a rainy few days in France while heavily pregnant, the images are now all photographed, edited and ready for print. Creating this site as a platform to display my work was the next move...I'm really quite pleased with it in a smug kind of way!

In between baby feeds, nappy changes and doing the washing, step one is finally ticked off the list (crossed out actually which gave me an imense amount of pleasure) The rest of the list remains stubbornly undone, something which I am determined to rectify over the next week or so. Quick check....yep, baby still cute as a button...best google what to cook for tea, the options have had their hands tied by a packet of 'going off' sausages in the fridge....hmm.
